However, it’s important to monitor your fish until the product sinks to the bottom because fish, especially koi, might mistake it for food when it’s on the surface.

Does it handle both fast leaks and slow seepage?
Yes. A blend of small and large and small polymer granules means one product can address both fast flowing leaks and slow seeping leaks, on either the dam walls or the base.
How long will it take to work?
Fast leaks can begin to seal within 24-72 hours, while slower or more persistent leaks may take longer to respond. As the product works through the dam and reaches the leak pathways, the sealing process continues over time. Allow up to 21 days for the product to achieve its full sealing effect.
Do I need to drain or excavate my dam first?
No. It can be applied to full or partially full dams, with no draining, excavation, or specialised equipment required.
What types of water bodies can it be used on?
It suits farm dams, rural property dams, livestock water supplies, irrigation storages, leaking ponds, decorative lakes, and commercial water bodies.
Will Dam Stop Leak work with tree root damage to walls and rabbit holes?
It is highly effective for sealing dam walls wth tree root damage and is good for addressing rabbit holes. However, when dealing with large rabbit holes, it might be beneficial to provide additional support, such as placing rubble or rocks in the holes before applying the product. If you are unsure, always consult your local dam contractor.
Should I turn my pump off during application?
Yes, it is recommended to turn off pumps and/or filters for at least 24 hours after applying. As the polymer settles to the bottom of your pond or dam, it will gradually seep into the pond walls. Be sure to check for any residual material before reactivating the pumps.

AUStopped the leak without interfering with wildlife
Our dam had been draining out into an adjacent ravine very rapidly, emptying completely between rains at an an accelerating rate. We have eels that live in the dam and burrow into the mud to wait out the dry periods, so we wanted to seal the dam wall without entombing them underground. We waited until we had a couple of days of rain, applied the product and within a day the dam had stopped leaking completely. Our eels have been accounted for and the blue yabbies seem to have either emerged from the mud or moved in from elsewhere very quickly. Frogs had spawned during the rain before the application and were completely unaffected by the product, the dam is now swarming with tadpoles. Product seemed expensive, but did exactly what we needed it to - sealed our dam without harming the wildlife.
