Improving the appearance of your pond has never been easier. With Aquatic Blue, you can refresh the colour of your water, reduce UV light, and keep algae under control all in one!
This easy to use highly concentrated colourant dyes water and provides brilliant blue colour, lasting longer than any other dye on the market. Anti-foaming agent makes the product ideal for use in water with fountains and in water features. What’s more, is that this Aquatic Blue dye reduces the penetration of UV light into the water. Less light can reduce photosynthetic activity that algae and aquatic weeds rely on.
Is Aquatic Blue safe?
Is safe to use in the presence of humans, livestock, fish, domestic pets and wildlife. Once diluted into the water column it is safe for swimming and the dye will not stain skin hair, clothes, rocks or sand. This dye is super simple to apply – just measure your amount according to instructions and apply directly into the water or spray for a quick result.
How does it work?
One approach to manage aquatic plant and algae growth is to use dyes to reduce light penetration into the water. This science-backed product works by restricting the penetration of UV rays into the water column. Without light, some aquatic weeds and algae are not able to photosynthesise and grow . Aquatic Blue filters the sun’s rays, reducing the amount of UV light present in the water body. The reduction of light hinders aquatic weeds and algal growth. Aquatic Blue gives your body of water a gorgeous blue hue.
Because of its light-filtering properties, Aquatic Blue may decrease water temperatures where applied. This can be beneficial for increased oxygen saturation, which in turn can keep fish healthy for longer(21) and support the growth of the ‘good’ types of bacteria in your water.
Because Aquatic Blue changes the colour of the water, this may prevent fish from being predated as they can be harder to see due to the refraction of light against the blue.
Basically, aquatic plants and algae need sunlight to grow for photosynthesis Aquatic Blue prohibits the penetration of light into the body of water. Limiting the light reduces the ability of plants and algae to grow. The science is quite simple: this aquatic dye is formulated to ‘screen out’ red-orange and blue-violet light rays from the sun. As the dye reflects sunlight, water temperatures remain lower. Less light means algae growth may be suppressed .
Did you know?
• Colder water holds in it more oxygen, which is beneficial for healthy fish and adequate growth of ‘good’ bacteria.
• Cutting the intensity of light penetration in water can reduce phytoplankton blooms . This can help limit pH-level fluctuations and keep these levels stable for longer.
What is Aquatic Blue made of?
It’s made up of a highly concentrated blend of colourants that dye the water and dispersants that evenly distribute the dye throughout. With Aquatic Blue, you don’t have to worry about dye clumping or sinking to the bottom of your pond, dam or lake.
Refresh your pond with brilliant blue colour
Aquatic Blue is formulated to disperse evenly throughout your water source for a beautiful blue hue that’s consistent throughout your pond. What’s more, is Aquatic Blue works quickly with long-term effect, giving you the perfect solution to keeping your water aesthetically superb. With this aquatic dye, you won’t get clumpy dye particles sinking to the bottom – enjoy an awesome depth of colour and long-lasting effect.

What are the benefits of using a water dye?
Aquatic Blue is a professional dye that not only gives you that desired blue look, reduces UV light and enhances the quality of your water body. By inhibiting the amount of light availability in the water column this can slow down the growth rates of algae and other aquatic plants. The blue colour reflects sunlight and may keep the average water temperature lower. Colder water holds more oxygen which is beneficial for healthy fish and good bacteria growth.
Is it harmful to fish and other wildlife?
Aquatic Blue is harmless to fish and wildlife, humans, pets, irrigation and is safe to swim in.
Are lake dyes safe?
Aquatic Blue is safe and easy to use. It does not harm fish, livestock, pets or humans.
Why do people dye ponds and lakes?
To enhance the aesthetic look and to reduce UV light through the water column. Overall, pond dyes give the water body a better look while improving the quality of the water. Not only will your pond look better, but it can remain healthier for longer.
Will pond dye stain rocks?
Aquatic Blue is safe and easy to use and will not dye rocks, pets, livestock or anyone swimming in the water only if fully diluted.
