Submerged leaves bright green to brown-green, sessile, linear, 25– 55mm long, 0.5– 1.2mm wide. Floating leaves can be present or absent and are much smaller in length and wider than the submerged leaves.
Found in shallow water of lakes and creeks, often in sand.
Reproduces via seed. Flowering time: July – August.
