AQ200 5L Aquatic Herbicide
The fast and effective solution to treating aquatic weeds
- Submerged aquatic weeds
- Effectively kills unwanted aquatic vegetation in just 7-14 days
AQ200 is a potent and powerful fast-acting aquatic herbicide that treats a wide range of submerged aquatic weeds. AQ200 is highly concentrated and gets the job done quickly.
How does it work?
AQ200 when used as a dilution application targets all types of submerged aquatic weeds including Bladderwort, Hydrilla, Pondweed and Watermilfoil, with noticeable results in 7-14 days. 5L of AQ200 will treat up to 1,000,000L (1ML) of water.
Apply at a rate of 1 part product to 10 parts town/tank water. Spread the dilution evenly across the water’s surface by using a shower/stream spray or by injecting into the water, focusing directly over the aquatic weeds.
5L of AQ200 mixed with 50L of water is enough to treat up to 1,000,000L (1ML) of water depending on aquatic weed density and coverage. If the water to be treated has high turbidity, use of an approved flocculant before application is required.
Please note that when AQ200 is used to treat water intended for human consumption, livestock watering or irrigation a 10-day withholding period will apply.
How To Use
How to Use
For use on submerged aquatic weeds:
Use AQ200 on its own or in conjunction with Hydrogel.
Hydrogel allows the user to be target specific. With this pairing, a thick substance can be applied directly onto the targeted vegetation. Bind the products according to instructions carefully.
Submerged Aquatic Weeds:
- Pond Weeds
- Parrots Feather
Why is there a withholding period?
When you apply AQ200 you may need to withhold the use of the water for 10 days, the water is then fine to use after 10 days. AQ200 is a non-residual aquatic herbicide.
Why do I need to mix AQ200 with town or tank water?
When preparing your AQ200 batch, it is important to use town or tank water as this water contains little to no contaminants. If you mix your AQ200 batch with dirty or contaminated water, you risk neutralising the product and rendering the application useless.
Can you wick wipe with AQ200?
Yes, you can wick apply, this is entirely your choice and dependent on your situation. General spraying will work equally as well, if not better by spraying to well wet the target aquatics.
What is the best sprayer to apply with?
A knapsack or backpack sprayer with an adjustable nozzle, either manual or battery powered. These can be found at your local hardware store (e.g. Bunnings) and range from around $40 to $250.
How does AQ200 work?
AQ200 is an aquatic herbicide. It targets the plants cell wall and causes it to rupture. This renders the cell from functioning normally meaning the plant is unable to photosynthesise effectively and ultimately kills the plant within 7 – 14 days of application. AQ200 is a contact herbicide meaning it will only affect the parts of the plant it is exposed to.
