  • Applying wetting agent:

For all aquatic vegetation above the surface of the water, AQ200 will need to be applied with our wetting agent.

  • How to Use

For use on emergent, free-floating & floating aquatic weeds:

Use AQ200 in conjunction with our wetting agent.   This lets the herbicide attach to the aquatic weed – this duo can be sprayed directly onto the weed itself.

  • Targets

Free Floating & Floating Aquatic weeds:

    • Duckweed (Lemna, Wolffia & Spirodela)
    • Red Azolla
    • Green Azolla
    • Ferny Azolla
    • Water hyacinth
    • Salvinia Marsilea
    • Water Lilies
    • Water Lettuce

    Emergent Aquatic Weeds:

    • Cumbungi
    • Bullrush
    • Common Reeds
    • Giant Reed
    • Sedges
    • Rushes
    • Water Lilies
  • Why is there a withholding period?

When you apply AQ200 you may need to withhold the use of the water for 10 days, the water is then fine to use after 10 days. AQ200 is a non-residual aquatic herbicide.

Why do I need to mix AQ200 with town or tank water?

When preparing your AQ200 batch, it is important to use town or tank water as this water contains little to no contaminants. If you mix your AQ200 batch with dirty or contaminated water, you risk neutralising the product and rendering the application useless.

Can you wick wipe with AQ200?

Yes, you can wick apply, this is entirely your choice and dependent on your situation. General spraying will work equally as well, if not better by spraying to well wet the target aquatics.

What is the best sprayer to apply with?

A knapsack or backpack sprayer with an adjustable nozzle, either manual or battery powered. These can be found at your local hardware store (e.g. Bunnings) and range from around $40 to $250.

    How does AQ200 work?

AQ200 is an aquatic herbicide. It targets the plants cell wall and causes it to rupture. This renders the cell from functioning normally meaning the plant is unable to photosynthesise effectively and ultimately kills the plant within 7 – 14 days of application. AQ200 is a contact herbicide meaning it will only affect the parts of the plant it is exposed to.
