AQ200 1L Herbicide & 500mL Wetting Agent
²The fast and effective solution to treating aquatic weeds
- Free-floating aquatic weeds
- Floating attached aquatic weeds
- Emergent aquatic weeds
- Effectively kills unwanted aquatic vegetation in just 7-14 days
AQ200 is a potent and powerful fast-acting aquatic herbicide that treats a wide range of aquatic weeds. AQ200 and the included wetting agent are the perfect combination for tackling free-floating and emergent aquatic weeds that would be otherwise difficult to target. AQ200 is highly concentrated and gets the job done quickly.
How does it work?
The AQ200 + wetting agent combination is used as a contact foliage application that is far more effective at targeting free-floating and emergent aquatic weeds than a general application. This herbicide is crafted to target all types of aquatic weeds including Azolla, Duckweed and Salvinia, with noticeable results in 7-14 days. 1L of AQ200 + 500mL Wetting Agent will cover between 250m2 – 500m2 of surface area.
Apply at a rate of 400mL AQ200 Aquatic Herbicide plus 150mL wetting agent mixed with 100L of town/tank water using a spray unit. Use a shower spray to well wet/saturate targeted aquatic weeds directly. 1L of AQ200 mixed with 500mL of wetting agent and the required amount of water will give you a mixture of approximately 250L, which is enough to cover between 250m2 – 500m2 of surface area depending on aquatic weed density and coverage. Please note that when AQ200 is used to treat water intended for human consumption, livestock watering or irrigation a 10-day withholding period may apply.
How To Use
How to Use For use on emergent, free-floating & floating aquatic weeds: Use AQ200 in conjunction with wetting agent. This lets the herbicide attach to the aquatic weed – this duo can be sprayed directly onto the weed itself. Emergent & Surface aquatic weeds, use 400mL of AQ200 + 150mL of wetting agent mix diluted into 100L of town/tank water. 1L of AQ200 + 500mL Wetting Agent will cover between 250m² – 500 m² of surface area.
Targets Free Floating & Floating Aquatic weeds:
- Duckweed (Lemna, Wolffia & Spirodela)
- Red Azolla
- Green Azolla
- Ferny Azolla
- Water hyacinth
- Salvinia Marsilea
- Water Lilies
- Water Lettuce
Emergent Aquatic Weeds:
- Common Reeds
- Giant Reed
- Water Lilies
Why is there a withholding period?
When you apply AQ200 you may need to withhold the use of the water for 10 days, the water is then fine to use after 10 days. AQ200 is a non-residual aquatic herbicide.
Why do I need to mix AQ200 with town or tank water?
When preparing your AQ200 batch, it is important to use town or tank water as this water contains little to no contaminants. If you mix your AQ200 batch with dirty or contaminated water, you risk neutralising the product and rendering the application useless.
Can you wick wipe with AQ200?
Yes, you can wick apply, this is entirely your choice and dependent on your situation. General spraying will work equally as well, if not better by spraying to well wet the target aquatics.
What is the best sprayer to apply with?
A knapsack or backpack sprayer with an adjustable nozzle, either manual or battery powered. These can be found at your local hardware store (e.g. Bunnings) and range from around $40 to $250.
How does AQ200 work?
AQ200 is an aquatic herbicide. It targets the plants cell wall and causes it to rupture. This renders the cell from functioning normally meaning the plant is unable to photosynthesise effectively and ultimately kills the plant within 7 – 14 days of application. AQ200 is a contact herbicide meaning it will only affect the parts of the plant it is exposed to.
